"One day off from work feels like a decade. Back at the grind which is more or less just me doing time. Another month or so, early parole if I’m lucky. It almost seems pointless to fight anymore, well not pointless, but hopeless. Fighting the good fight will always count for something. The difference between idle chatter and a glitter of importance is monumental; Debt, the swelling price of gas, nationwide racism, the demoralizing of women, in short, all plague America. Faith cannot be put in the politician or the priest. Where do we turn then? We turn to ourselves. That answer is easy, but we think that those in control have our best interest in mind. They don’t. They crap on the common man’s interest the first chance they get." -excerpt
